A new chapter in our process. For @audible’s Pride & Prejudice, we brought their vision to the street by blending two disciplines rarely seen together in OOH: hand-painted art and hand-stitched craft. Think bold mural gradients meeting embroidered lettering and floral details—literary romance translated into texture you can feel.
What’s the idea?
Use the wall as a story page. Paint sets the tone—scale, color, atmosphere—while embroidery adds intimacy: stitched quotes, serif details, and floral flourishes that reward a closer look.
How was it executed?
The team mapped the composition for legibility at street distance, then layered techniques: primed base coats, hand-painted illustration, and applied embroidered elements for lettering and florals. The result: a crafted surface that photographs beautifully yet feels unmistakably human up close.
Why does this work for OOH?
Tactility converts glances into dwell time. Textures catch light differently across the day; stitched threads invite curiosity; passersby pause, shoot, and share. It’s classic OOH behavior—simple idea, strong form, made memorable by material choices.
Paint × Embroidery: materials with meaning
Paint gives visibility and mood; embroidery delivers depth and a handcrafted intimacy that suits Pride & Prejudice. Together, they bridge eras—period romance rendered through contemporary street craftsmanship.

From page to pavement
This build turns a beloved classic into a living texture. By treating the city as a book you can walk past, the story meets people where they are—one stitched letter, one painted petal at a time.
